Guests : Sriram Venkatarathinam (Budding short film maker)
"I feel true talents will be recognised if they are displayed at the right place at the right time."
How did you get the inspiration to involve in short film making ?
I am an engineer. I began to make short films to participate in my college culturals. I'm also a movie buff and I watch a lot of movies... one movie was very inspiring... soon short film making became a passion.
What do you think as achievement(s) in your career ?
I've participated and won prizes in competitions, but I feel an achievement is to transform my thoughts exactly on to the screen. In that fashion, i feel I have to a large extent done that in my latest film "even ing".
Which do you think as the difficult part in short film making ?
All stages of film making are difficult, but i feel editing and music score require huge additional effort.

Kindly say us about your latest project and what's the specialty in it ?
"even ing"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3pqBmQaRk_U
has been my most difficult project till date. The speciality in it is that it requires complete attention while watching, because there are few people who have understood the movie according to the screenplay, others, just havent paid attention.
What were all your other project(s) and were there any award(s) / recognition given to them ?
My projects "slump" and "sos" have won prizes.
What is your reaction if your film is not selected in top 3 in any competition ?
If the selected films are really good, then i wont have any worries.
What's your future plans ?
I plan to keep making short films.
Do you think that true talents are been recognized ?
I feel true talents will be recognised if they are displayed at the right place at the right time.
What's your advice/suggestion to budding short film makers ?
I dont think I'm worthy enough to advice others yet.
What's your view about CDTV ?
I find CDTV a tremendous source of inspiration, because there are very very few sites like this, providing a platform for short film makers. There is abundant scope in promoting this field, I hope this will get bigger, and i feel that CDTV is already moving in the right direction.
