Dhanush's creepy and poignant act has won critical reviews. Dhanush as Karthik is posed as a curmudgeon. In the second half, debased Dhanush’s transition from eccentric and frustrated attitude stands high with a greater knot of realism. Not that the film is deceptive or slow, the feel does not caters to some audience, may be of the inability to reflect with self. “Karthik” is neither a defeatist nor a sob but an earnest neutral man with potential and skill. Whether his delusion comes true is not only the story, there’s lot more to grab. “An emotional ride” – This tag suits this enticing show. A flavor of ecstasy is added adequately. Risha is posed as an effeminate better-half. An endearing relation is picturized brilliantly. Haunting music composition blends with the movie effectively. Gripping screenplay and editing is commendable. Mayakam Enna is not inconceivable like Ayirathil Oruvan but an indubitable reality of life. This review is not an encomium.
