Nanban is a well weaved mesmerizing film for tamil audience without objectionable elements. 'Follow your heart' is what Nanban protrudes into us. The film is a novelty and is not monotonous f0r those who have watched 3 idiots already.. Vijay appears charming and seems to be nonpareil for his role. Jeeva's timing and acting sense is good. Sathyaraj's meddling for unique pronunciation may not be constant. Visuals stand out as natural like in Shankar's previous projects. There is no outplay when compared to 3 idiots. For some, it is a drive up force from obsolescent. There seems to be no problem from censor in select songs thus gearing the entertainment level for youngsters. Added elaborations despite remaking is commendable. Three of the many catchy things were cameo appearance of Shankar and his assistant Atlee Kumar (A popular short film maker) ; Sub titlist Rekhs kissing Vijay ; hills and light blue beach at Dhanushkodi ! (as per the story). Sure that audience feel luxuriating and be jubilant in watching this film. Lunatic fringe may be unnecessary.
